Barry C. Smith is a partner with Woodridge Capital Portfolio Management. A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Barry has a degree in economics from Mississippi State University and an MBA from Millsaps College. He started his investment career in 1978 with the Jackson office of Morgan-Keegan & Co., serving clients as an investment consultant.
In 1983, Barry accepted a position with Trustmark National Bank in Jackson, Mississippi where he worked for more than fourteen years as manager of the Investment Services Department. In 1985 and 1986 Barry was selected to attend the American Bankers Associations School of Funds Management in Boulder, Colorado where he received extensive training in asset/liability and portfolio management.
From 1992 to 1997 Barry sat on the board of directors and served as President, CEO and Chief Supervisory Officer for Trustmark Financial Services, Inc. (TFSI), Trustmark’s then broker/dealer subsidiary.
Always and advocate for unbiased investment management, Barry decided to put his experience to use for the benefit investment advisory clients. As a result he opened his own investment advisor practice in 1998, growing assets under management to more than $40 million by the time Woodridge Capital was formed.
Barry is married to the former Pam Huff, who is a CPA and the CFO for Pileum Corporation, a business and technology consulting firm. They have two sons and are long time members of the First Baptist Church of Madison.
Danny Williams, CFP®
Danny C. Williams is a founding partner and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) with Woodridge Capital Portfolio Management. Previously, he was an Account Vice President with UBS Financial Services. Williams has worked as a financial advisor since1994 and has held multiple management positions within the financial services industry for more than 30 years. Before becoming a financial advisor, he was a vice-president with General Electric Capital Corporation, based in Tampa, Florida. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of South Florida.
Williams believes in contributing to the community and is active in many area organizations. He is a past District Governor of Rotary, Central MS and past-president of the Rotary Club of Jackson. He has served as an officer and on the board of the Financial Planning Association, board member and past Chairman of the Madison County Foundation, a private economic development entity. He is an active member of Pinelake Church of Brandon. In previous years he has served on numerous non-profit organizations.
Williams is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, attended Provine High School and graduated from Council School-McClure. He lived in Clearwater, Florida for about ten years before he returned to Madison in 1994.
He is married to Jackie who is a nurse practitioner with Innovative Health, in Jackson. They have three children and three grandchildren. In his free time, Danny enjoys cycling, exercising, fishing, and reading.
Investment Advisor Representative
Lee joined Woodridge Capital in 2008 and is series 65 licensed. Having served in the Mississippi Senate from 2008 – 2012, Lee was Vice Chairman of the Highways and Transportation Committee and served on the Finance and Ethics committees, among others.
Lee is a 1991 graduate of Mississippi College and has a Masters and Doctorate from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Ava Lawrence is a senior service assistant with Woodridge Capital Portfolio Management. Prior to the formation of Woodridge, she was a senior client service assistant at UBS Financial Services, Inc. She began her career in the Investment Industry with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in 1992.
Ava handles client services, communication and information management.
Stacie Hurt is a senior service assistant with Woodridge Capital Portfolio Management. Prior to joining Woodridge, she was a client service assistant at UBS Financial Services, Inc. She started at J.C. Bradford in 1998 as a sales assistant.
Stacie handles marketing, client communications and technology management.
